- The cultural and social promoting association REALAB organizes the 1st International Photo Selection of social and ethic photography with the subject “worlds cohabitation” only for colour or black and white digital photos. The participation to the competition is allowed only on-line, from the website of the association REALAB.
- They will constitute object of selection photos inherent in the subject in every form, anyway or everywhere taken.
- The participation is opened to all photographers resident in the European Community and in extra-European countries; each author can send one photo.
- The participation implies the payment of a fee of 30 Euros made by credit card through PAYPAL, connecting to the web page http://www.realab.eu/registration.php and following the directions. The payment of the fee stands for inscription to the cultural and social promoting association REALAB valid one year and allows to accede to the Photo Selection organized by the association.
- The photo must be sent in the form of file to the following e-mail address selection@realab.eu and with the following characteristics: the image must be 20X30 cm in JPG size and with a 200 DPI resolution. For each file must be absolutely indicated in the mail:
- title
- author’s name and surname
- author’s address
- e-mail address
- year of realization
- photographer - author’s curriculum (maximum 1500 types)
- the photo must be marked bottom right with an abbreviation formed by:
- G1. The first three letters of author’s surname
- G2. The first three letters of author’s name

In default of one of the points (5, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, G1, G2) the participation to the selection will be cancelled and the fee will be lost.
- Each author is responsible for the subject matter of the work sent and with its post and the payment of the fee authorizes its publication. In case the work will be sent without the agreement of the subjects retracted, or violating national and international in force law about privacy protection, underage and subjects in chancery, the person who sent the work and the author will take full responsibility with regard to this.
- The works sent will be available to the association REALAB for the entire selection period always with the author’s name indication and will be published on the association’s web site in the section http://www.realab.eu/concorso together with the photographer’s curriculum. Once ended the competition if the photographer would eliminate his photo from the gallery he will be able to do that writing at delete@realab.eu, otherwise the photos will remain in the association’s on-line archive in the correspondent annual section. In order to tutelary the photographer’s royalties on the photo a watermark will be insert to skip out unwanted copies.
- The competition result will be communicated to all competitors photographers (winner and mentioned) by e-mail; the result will be also published on the website of REALAB.
- The decision of the inner jury is unquestionable.
- Further awards could be allocated and will be duly advertised.
- Prizes will be credited to the partner - photographer’s account after the delivery of winner’s fiscal documentation, on which we will opportunely agree.
- According to the Italian law 196/03 about privacy the participation to the competition implies from the author the authorisation at the treatment of personal data, with informatics medium or not, and their use by the organizing association to carry out the attainments connected with the competition and the associative aims. Personal data will be filed by the registered office of the cultural and social promoting association REALAB in Via Solcini, 3 – 55022 Bagni di Lucca – Lu – responsible Mr. Marcantonio Lunardi.
- PRIZE The prize money assigned to the winning photo is of 2000 Euros pre-tax because the association acquires the right of use for associative aims for an entire year since the author’s authorization signature. The author always remains the rightful owner and in every use of the
photo his name will be always mentioned.
- CALENDAR competition opening: April 15th, 2010 ; competition closure: September 15th, 2010 ; official communication to the winner: October 1st , 2010
- PHOTO EMPLOY The winning photo will be employed for promotional aims of the association’s social campaigns and won’t be used for commercial aims not connected with the association’s statute aims. The association acquires the right of use for associative aims for an entire year since the author’s authorization signature.
- In its unquestionable judgment the jury reserves not to accept those images whose presentation is presumed to damage the organization and to award the prizes following its technical and cultural judgment. The photo rejection will entail the restitution of the paid amount and the exclusion from the selection.
- Staff’s relatives till third degree of relationship and the jury couldn’t take part to the competition.
- The participation to the selection implies on competitor’s behalf the entire and unconditional acceptation and the cognizance of these regulations.
